RECENT INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES

Cooperation to the Japanese Government's ODA (Official Development Assistance)

  1. JISHA is supporting the Japanese Government (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare; MHLW) with its ODA project, “Project on Capacity Building for Occupational Health”, for the Chinese government between March, 2011 and March, 2016. This is a five (5)-year-term technical cooperation project, and in addition to providing necessary equipment, the Japanese side is dispatching long-term and short-term experts to provide technical support to State Administration of Work Safety, China Academy of Safety Science and Technology, Bureau of Healt, and CDC, counterpart organizations in China, and is inviting their staff to Japan as well to provide training for a certain period. JISHA, as a major non-governmental implementing organization of this project, prepares the short-term experts, and arranges training in Japan several times a year.
  2. JISHA is also cooperating with one of the Japanese ODA projects in Malaysia. Currently an expert is being dispatched to the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) in Malaysia from the MHLW; JISHA has been assisting the expert by sending short-term experts and also by inviting trainees selected from his counterparts.

note

The other forms of cooperation with the JICA, mainly as seminars, have already been referred to above in the table or elsewhere.
