What kind of accident is about to happen?
The bucket of an aerial lift has gotten caught in the protective netting around a building. The worker is standing on the handrail of the bucket in an attempt to climb onto a beam so he can release it, and is trying to attach his safety belt to the wire on the beam.
Can you predict what's about to happen?
Look what happened!
When trying to attach his safety belt to the wire, the worker's foot slipped and he fell from the bucket.

Tips for preventing similar accidents
1. |
Do not get on/off of equipment in elevated positions.
2. |
If you must get on/off of a piece of equipment, ensure this can be done safely and use a safety belt.
3. |
Use two safety belts (connected to two locations). Before unhooking the safety belt being used in the bucket, attach the second safety belt to the parent net.
