What kind of accident is about to happen?
During demolition work, a drag shovel is being used to remove rubble. A worker is spraying water nearby to reduce airborne dust.
Can you predict what's about to happen?

Look what happened!

The water hose being used by the worker doing the spraying got caught on something, and the worker stepped into the operating range of the drag shovel to release it. The worker was hit by the drag shovel.

Tips for preventing similar accidents
1. When a drag shovel is being used, use signs to clearly identify the areas that workers are to stay out of. Keep workers out of the turning radius of the equipment.
2. If a worker must enter the operating radius, assign someone to serve as a guide, and ensure that work is only performed on that guide worker's signal.
3. Be especially aware of safety when working in confined areas and do not rotate machinery suddenly.
4. When visibility is impaired by dust or other factors, stop the drag shovel until visibility is regained.
