A falling battery breaks operator's foot.
When replacing a battery, an operator put the removed old one (weight: 48 kg) on a narrow overhang of the machine and held it with one hand, while he tried to change the step. Then the battery went off the overhang and dropped on his foot. He had one of his toe bones broken.



Corrective Action
1. Put heavy items on a flat and solid place in particular.
2. Let two workers carry together a heavy item weighing over 30 kg.
3. Put on safety shoes, when carrying out inspection or maintenance work.
