A worker's left finger was crushed while attaching a bulldozer track.

Two workers were working together to attach a bulldozer track.
Worker A put his finger between the links to directly support the nut and keep it from falling. When worker B started the impact wrench to try to fasten the bolt, the nut rotated with the bolt. The momentum caused worker A's finger to be crushed between the nut and the link.

Corrective Action
1. Support objects using only the appropriate tools. Never use your fingers.
2. Encourage everyone to take safety precautions and use signals when working with others.
