The first training courses of the JICOSH after its inauguration started on July 12, 1999.
The two courses given this time are;
1. Occupational health in relation to toxic substances
2.Practical safety and health management in the construction industry.

21 people from ten countries/regions are participating, namely, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Phillippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The training lasted until July 30.
