Article 21 (Workshops Subject to Conduct Working Environment Measurement)
  • The workshops prescribed by the Cabinet Order set forth in paragraph (1) of Article 65 of the Act shall be as follows:
    • (i) Among the indoor workshops extremely exuding dust of soil and stones, rocks, ores, metals or carbon, those prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
    • (ii) Among the indoor workshops having hot, cold or humid conditions, those prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
    • (iii) Among the indoor workshops emitting extreme noise, those prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
    • (iv) Among the workshops in pits, those prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
    • (v) The room in a building provided with a central controlled air conditioning system (meaning a facility capable of cleaning of air, and the supplying of air after adjustment of its temperature, humidity, and flow rate) used as an office;
    • (vi) Among the workshops carrying out the radiation work listed in Appended Table 2, those prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare;
    • (vii) The indoor workshops manufacturing or handling the specified chemical substances listed in item (1) or (2) of Appended Table 3, the indoor workshops handling asbestos, etc. or manufacturing them for research and examination, or workshops manufacturing coke on a coke oven or abut on a coke oven;
    • (viii) The indoor workshops carrying out the lead work (excluding those carried out by remote-control in an isolated chamber) listed in item (1) to (8), (10) or (16) of Appended Table 4;
    • (ix) The workshops carrying out work at the place of oxygen deficient danger listed in Appended Table 6;
    • (x) Among the indoor workshops manufacturing or handling organic solvents listed in Appended Table 6-2, those carrying out the work prescribed by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare .
