"Safety, Health and Environment Management at Siemens in India"


On December 11, 2003, Mr. Rohan Shankar Kadley, the Manager-Plant Engineering and Chairman of the Central Safety Committee for Siemens Ltd., Kalwa Works, made a speech on the safety, health and environment (SHE) management at Siemens in India.

Siemens, a Germany-based business giant, celebrated its 155th anniversary in 2003. The global-scale Siemens network employs 430,000 people in 190 countries. In India alone, the company has 64 business locations including affiliated companies and 3,815 people are employed.

The speech focused on the company's SHE policies and schemes, as well as diverse SHE-related activities in which Mr. Rohan Shankar Kadley himself has long been engaged.
