What kind of accident is about to happen?
A rough-terrain vehicle is being used at a construction site to offload crushed rock at an excavation site.
The worker is backing up the dump truck, stopping at the edge, and trying to dump his load while remaining in his seat.
Can you predict what's about to happen?

Look what happened!
Because the center of gravity of the vehicle shifted backward when the load was dumped, the edge suddenly collapsed, causing the vehicle to tumble over into the excavated area.

Tips for preventing similar accidents
1. Ensure that workers undergo thorough safety education that teaches them how the center of gravity shifts to the rear when the bed of a truck is lifted, and how this can create instability.
2. Assign a worker to serve as a guide who can identify dangers at edges.
3. Install metal support plates or chock blocks to prevent tumbling.
