Touch on rotating parts hurts mechanic's finger.
A mechanic was overhauling the clutch on a macadam roller. In order to bring the locknut to a position easy to work on, he started the engine so that he could rotate the clutch case a bit. But the result was his right hand with a hexagon head spanner fixed to the locknut was wildly swung against the clutch rod and a finger was broken. .

Corrective Action
1. Don not touch rotating parts or such parts that may rotate.
2. Appoint a signalman for work like alignment, and have him watch the actions of all workers and give an appropriate signal to them.
