| A worker was using a socket wrench to loosen a bolt so that a counterweight could be removed from a hydraulic shovel. When the socket slipped off the bolt, the worker lost his balance and fell from the vehicle, bruising his hip. |

Ask another worker to help with this kind of work to keep socket wrenches from slipping off or wobbling. |

When working with parts that require a lot of torque, or when working in an unstable location, use a torque wrench with a pipe extension.
