A worker jumped from the bed of his truck and sprained his ankle.

A worker was attaching a bucket edge in the bed of a truck while it was raining.
Using the step to climb down from the service vehicle, he tried to jump from the step to a concrete block about 1 m. away. He lost his balance, his foot slipped, and he sprained his ankle.

Corrective Action
1. Take adequate safety precautions in work areas.
2. When climbing down from a vehicle, check your footing and do not take any shortcuts.
