| While using gas to cut a bushing, some ignited grease came gushing out, burning a worker's face. |
The worker was using gas to try to cut a bushing piece. When he cut as far as the interior spacer, grease remaining in the grease reservoir reached a high temperature, creating high internal pressure. The grease ignited and came gushing out, burning the worker's face. |

| 1. | Use a designated bushing removal tool. |
| 2. | If gas must be used to do the cutting, first create an opening to release pressure. |
| 3. | When performing gas cutting, be sure to wear a face shield or protective mask. |
