第5条：義務

5. Duties

(a)　各事業者は、

(a) Each employer -

(1)　その労働者に死亡又は重大な身体的危害を引き起こす可能性があると認められた危険に、労働者各人がさらされないような雇用及び雇用の場所を提供し；

(1) shall furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees;

(2)　本法に基づいて公布された労働安全衛生基準を遵守するものとする。

(2) shall comply with occupational safety and health standards promulgated under this Act.

(b)　各労働者はそれら自身の行動、行為に適用される、本法に基づいて発せられた労働安全衛生基準、すべての規定、規則、命令を遵守するものとする。

(b) Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to this Act which are applicable to his own actions and conduct.
